I've had mine in for 8 weeks now, and probably started seeing noticable movement in one tooth after about 6 weeks. It's difficult because you're looking at them all the time! They are definetly moving though, as all the gaps have been tightly closed each time I've gone back to the dentist. My next appointment is in a week, and I'm hoping that my rotated tooth should start to significantly move after that one!
I'm wearing for about 22 hours a day, and a bit less at the weekends if I go out in the evenings, but speech isn't really a problem at all anymore.

I noticed movement in first two weeks but not much in the second two weeks it's not tight at all and have no pressure have it 4 weeks now. Going for my second visit tomorrow I go every two weeks will probably get more filing and composit on back of my teeth, don't like the composite as can't eat properly with it but hopefully will be done in 8 weeks time and it will be worth it but its hard to image at the moment.

ONE SET DOWN
Been a while since I posted. Bottom set of teeth are fully sorted and amazing. Top set still have the protruding bloody fang which is driving me mad. HOWEVER, having seen the start pictures last week the difference is amazing. It is going to take time. I can honestly say make sure the INMAN is set right if your teeth are protuding. I have started to manually adjust the aligner when putting it in and the pressure on the :fang: is making a huge difference.
It will take another few months but I am really delighted with the results.
14 hours a day is simply NOT enough time to wear it... I recommend 20.. but everyone is different.
The overlap I had has recified itself and the whole process of straight brilliant white teeth has taken less time and cost a HUGE amount less than dentists in the south of Ireland.
SMILES WIDELY (even if the fang is still not straight).. Should be called WHITE FANG now.

quick question
Hi all,
I am considering having the above fitted for slight mis-alingment of my front teeth.
How long is it necessary to wear the wire behind the teeth after the aligner has been removed ? Is it full time or just for a period of time ?

Nope it's at the back of my teeth, you cant see it unless you put a mirror behind your teeth. It doesnt affect anyting. The only thing is that you cant floss the 4 teeth as there's glue there so you dont need to anyway and it also doesnt hinder you speech in any way. I would much rather this wire than wearing a retainer at night time. Also when i was getting it put in I didnt feel anyting, not an inch of pain

I'm thinking of getting the Inman aligner.
When I was a child I needed a type of brace attached to the molars to widen my mouth which my mother had to adjust at home to widen, and then afterwards my teeth were aligned perfectly.
Until three years ago when my wisdom teeth started to develop and caused my upper and lower incisors to misalign. Now it seems my upper middle incisors are pushed slightly back (but are still straight next to each other) and my other incisors are pushed slightly forward and twisted a little bit in front of the middle incisors.
I decided to not do anything about it three years ago because I was already 20 years old and felt like I was too old for braces. And als because if you look at my teeth from the front, it is not noticeable.
But recently someone commented (not a bad comment, but friendly) why I didn't do something about it, and this got me researching the internet.
I was first thinking about Invisalign, and this seems very interesting for me, the downside is it will probably (my guess) take a year or more.
Then I came accross the Inman Aligner, and this seems perfect for me because the problem area is only the 8 incisors. And it will be corrected much faster than the invisalign.
The only thing is, I only came accross 1 dentist who provides this in my country (Belgium). And I didn't found a picture or youtube video with someone actually wearing it.
Do any of you have a picture where you're wearing your aligner? It is very noticeable?
And also, did all of you have regular dentists insert your IA? Or do you go to an orthodontist (specialised in braces)? Because the one I came accross is a dentist specialised in veneers, invisalign and IA. He doesn't do regular braces.
The fact that it is a regular dentist holds me off for now, did you come accross downsides about using a dentist rather than someone who is specialised in orthodontia (don't know if this is an actual english word... specialised in braces let's say)? Or doesn't it really mathers who installs it, but rather the fact that is installed?
