Hey guys, I haven't had an operation date yet as my top jaw is still too narrow apprently (dam mit!), but I was wondering if people have had their jaw surgery but also had rhinoplasty at the same sitting?
I remember during the consultation process (before I had braces and sarpe), the surgerons asked me what I did not like about my self and I obviously said my jaw but also my nose and they said they're likely to do change this for me too. Which is great because I hate my nose more than I hate my jaw.
So, assuming I get rhinoplasty, will they perform the operation the same time as my jaw surgery or some time after (how long afterwards?)?
Thanks guys
NHS: Jaw surgery and rhinoplasty at the same time?

Hey there. I hope your operation goes well when it comes up. I had my lower and upper jaw adjusted via the NHS in Northern Ireland, but I didn't have any work on my nose. I think they may not do both operations at the same time as the rhinoplasty would probably affect your breathing which is something they carefully monitor (you tend to have limited capacity to move mouth so breathing isnt easy, and blood tends to clog up in your nose).

I've heard of people getting them done both at the same time, because it is easier.
But I do think it depends on top/bottom. If you have the top done, it will be harder to breathe as it is. I guess there is a lot of congestion.
But if you are only getting your lower jaw done then I would say it is more of a possibility.
Ultimately, I would say call your doctor.
