There's stronger medicines but you should talk to the OS about that.

i just called the pharmacy and he said it was okay to take advil and tylenol at the same time as long as it isnt for a long period of time

I think my TMJ related pain lasted for 3-4 months so it may be a "long period of time" that you need medication. Hopefully, that's not the case though.

yikes!!!
the pain i have is lower more in my cheek and sometimes does spike up to my joint
i am pretty sure it is muscle pain not bone
it is intense and unbearable :(

Well, TMJ pain is generally felt in the muscles that are involved in chewing and the ear. Here's a picture:

TMJ dysfunction causes pain in any of the red(muscular) areas and perhaps other areas in near proximity to those muscles.

i never had issues with this before
i am 6 weeks post op and this severe pain just started thursday

Sounds like you are being undertreated if all you are taking is Advil and Tylenol (yes, it is ok, but not ideal nor recommended) for 10/10 pain. Of course, pain is subjective. Have you tried alternating hot and cold packs? When do you have to see your OS again?

i seen the OS yesterday and he replaced the bands and now all the muscles are fighting that
he did give me tylenol 3s but they dont work
i see him again next tuesday

i will try the heat and ice at this point i will try anything thanks for the suggestion

I didn't have any pain right away either. I think it started around six weeks as well. If Tylenol3 didn't work then you need to upgrade to stronger medications and not downgrade to OTC's which clearly aren't working.
