Audition with Invisalign -- thank you!

#1 Post by SteveL »

I'm now 5 months into my roughly estimated 8 month treatment (tray 12 of 16) and today had an audition. I was able to laugh and confidently smile throughout my audition that I know a year ago or even four months ago would have been highly conscious to do so.

In fact, I now smile showing my teeth in all pictures taken. In the past I would be very reluctant to show my teeth in pictures, particularly up close ones. The confident boost makes such a positive impact on my personality!

Back in October I was a little concerned because I was on trays 8/9-ish of 16, and my front tooth's gap didn't seem to have moved much. Around Thanksgiving was when I noticed the sucker moving into place and it's been moving more bit by bit with each passing week. Invisalign is awesome! It is a hassle when it comes to meal, but a blessing in disguise that I'm currently not working full time. Overall, I'm very pleased with my treatment so far. Popping in new trays no longer even hurt.

My 2nd tray back in August hurt SO MUCH especially the first time pulling it out. I was starting to question if the pain was worth the results (which is not guaranteed in all cases even)... but since then, new trays hardly even tickle, and disappears after the first 10 minutes or so. Pretty amazing. I'm 26 and I really thank technology for Invisalign. Never would have opted for metal braces so Invisalign has been a life changer. Not a life saver, one can still live life with a crooked smile, but most definitely a life changer :D

Sounds awesome. Patients didn't notice me wearing my aligners during treatment even when they were talking face to face with me. My photographer didn't notice them when I had them on for engagement photos. The same happens when my staff members are talking to prospective Invisalign patients.

They do take a bit of time to get used to, but when planned properly and with the right attitude, you'll end up with the smile you've been looking for before you know it!

Congratulations on your new found confidence. My work sends out team lists to clients with our mugshots on and I get new ones taken on Tuesday to show my nearly straight teeth rather than the old buck-tooth photo! Can't wait :-)
