silly question

So this may sound stupid, but did getting braces drastically change the appearance of your face when your mouth is closed? In other words- could people tell you have braces even when they are not showing?

I feel like there is a difference but everyone tells me they can't tell.

I think at first, things may be swollen or puffy, but as your teeth move, the appearance of your teeth/face change.

I do think they have made my lips looks fuller, they were full to begin with but I will miss the extra help when they are gone.

I agree with Snowglobe. My lips look fuller with braces, which I will miss when the braces are off. Other than that, you can't tell I am wearing braces when my mouth is closed.

Nope, you can't tell until I open my mouth. And like Donna, my upper lip is fuller than it was before.

I remember when I first got my braces that I felt like it was very obvious I wore braces even when my mouth was closed. but now, afte 2 years, I fell that they look very normal. Idon't know if I have just gotten used tothe look or if my face has changed. It will be interesting to see if it is a noticeable difference once my braces come off next week!!

My lips are already full... I hope they don't look bigger when I get them on tomorrow. I never really thought about it... until now!

But tomorrow's the big day! Weeee! Wish me luck! :D
