Hi guys, this is my first post here on this forum and I'm not sure if I'm at the right place to post this, if I am not please tell me.
Recently I have been asking my dentist about baces since I have a hole between my two front teeth (I don't know the exact name because english is not my first languge) and he told me that my teeth were perfect exept for this hole and that I didn't need any braces.
But, he also told me that it is possible to have braces just to fix that hole, for an aesthetic purpose.
So I would like to know if it is really possible and also how long I would have to wear those braces.
Thank you
Braces.. for aesthetic purpose

the answer to your question is yes , if your not happy with your smile see a orthodontist, they can tell you if you should do anything or nothing at all

Cosmetic dentistry may or may not be the answer.
This depends on the size of the space, depth of the bite and other factors.
I will often do a mock-up (placing of bonding material with no bonding agent so it can be flicked off easily) to allow a preview of what cosmetic dentistry can look like. This helps determine if the teethwill be too wide, etc. If that is acceptable to the pt and the dr then you can go that route. Otherwise it may be the orthodontic route. Sometimes BOTH ortho and cosmetics are required to get the best result.

If it is less than 1mm then cosmetic dentistry may be a great option for you.
