My surgery (BSSO to move my jaw 10mm forward, and genio) is on June the 4th.
Good luck everyone!

On June 30 I'm having IVRO (Intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy) on the left side of my mandible and genioplasty.
I had bimaxillary surgery on March 10, but something went wrong with the left side of my mandible, and the TMJ came out of the socket. The IVRO is needed to put the joint back into the socket.
I'm also having genioplasty because, even after BSSO, my chin is still rather receding and a little deviated to the right.
So another major surgery after less than 4 months from the first one (sigh!).

I'll be having a 3 Piece Le Fort 1 to bring my maxilla up and in, BSSO for extension and genioplasty on the 17th. Its gonna suck. But I would have had it yesterday if I could have.

My biggest fear is eating baby food and liquids for weeks, as I can EAT. :(

I'm having my upper and lower jaw surgery tomorrow!!! I'm so anxious and nervous all at once. I can't wait to have it done. :) I had my upper jaw broken and expanded 2 years ago (SARPE) so I have an idea what to expect. Still doesn't keep me from feeling nervous though!

Hey Kimmi,
I wish you the best of luck with your surgery tomorrow.
I had bimaxillary surgery this past March 10. As you can expect, it's no fun at all, but you get through it. The first five days are the toughest, even because the swelling is at it's peak during that period, but it gets better with every passing day.
Do you know by how many millimeter are your jaws being moved and in which direction?
Keep us informed on your surgery, and post as a note as soon as you feel like.
Good luck.

June 2: Lefort I, BSSO, genio. :D

I'm spending 2 nights at the hospital, so I'll tell you how it went next weekend.

I'm not nearly as nervous as I used to be about this surgery, even though I'm not expecting it to be a piece of cake, either.
