Swelling Weirdness

#1 Post by anna1222 »

I had a sliding genioplasty on June 28th. Everything went very well. I have been recovering very quickly... until today. I woke up this morning and my face is so swollen, it's like doubled in size. Is this something that usually happens during the healing process or should I be concerned? Yesterday was a really warm day and I sat outside in the sun for a little while and it's extremely hot and humid today. Would that be the cause the swelling maybe?

I noticed in the morning my face is puffier and as I move around it goes down. Does your swelling go down once you are up and about?

Yea, you're right, it usually does. Just this morning it was a lot larger than it usually is. It hasn't been this swollen since the first day really.
