I wore braces for almost 2 years in India and removed it. Now I m wearing retainer for 8 months. But I am still not satisfied with my look, I have to still strain a bit to close my lips and my lips are open when I am at rest. So I would like to wear braces again to push my teeth inside a bit which will help me to close my lips freely.
This week I am going to India for vacation. So is it possible to get braces(Invisalign/Vaneer or whatever) in India and come back to UK and stay here for 6 months without making any adjustment to the braces. Will my teeth go inside if my braces is not getting adjusted for 6 months? After 6 months I will again go back to India to visit the doctor. I have this plan in my mind as cost in UK is too high. Please advise.

I don't know how it works in india, but the schedule as far as getting my treatment started was as follows:
x-rays and impressions taken on 8th June.
ClinCheck arrived for my approval on 17th June.
After one week of asking questions, I gave the go-ahead for treatment on 23rd June.
3 weeks later, 13th July, my trays had arrived. Dentist did IPR and attachments and sent me on my way with 2 sets of trays. I could pay for the rest of them there and then and take the lot, but I opted for monthly payments instead.
If its like that in India, I don't see how you could coordinate that process with a vacation unless you are going to india for 2 or 3 months. If you can, and your provider gives you your full set of aligners - then theoretically you could get away with bringing them back to the UK and getting on with treatment yourself. I say theoretically because if you have any problems, you are going to be stuck and either have to give up treatment or pay a provider in the UK to try to sort things out. No genuine orthodontist would recommend this.
Its a risk. But its your money and your teeth.
