I think missing your braces might be a form of insanity... ;)

The only reason I started missing my braces was because I noticed I was relapsing. The more I read about peoples' experiences, the more I see how individual they are. I don't see many people say they miss their braces, but I know some people do. I don't think it's any stranger than the people who detest their braces and start a countdown to freedom the first day they are on lol.

Pinkleaf, my ortho gives out cookies too! I ate the last one but the one before that I let my daughter have. My first ortho (from first round of treatment) gave out little care packs every adjustment visit - toothbrush, floss, and packs of gum.

I finished my treatment on 8 July after 20 months. I thought I'd be glad to get rid of my braces at 55 but in a strange way though I do miss them!

I was interested to see the way my teeth moved and in the whole process. Well I'll just have to keep an eye on my retainers instead!!

I'd like to rip them off, so I really don't think I'll miss them when they're gone.

Hey everyone, haven't checked this board in awhile and just checking my old posts! Yes, I still miss my braces a tiny bit, but I'm definitely enjoying my smile sans braces. It's been nearly 4 years since my de-banding. I had such a wonderful experience with my orthodontist that I decided that I wanted to become a dentist! I'll be applying to dental school this summer. Hopefully, I can improve peoples' smiles the way my dentist improved mine :)
