Energy Drinks
Are they on the no-no list? I usually drink 3-4 a week to help keep me awake at work and throughout the whole day. I prefer Red Bull. Is it ok to drink the sugar free Red Bull that often?

Sorry to hijack the thread but... I had seen you mention the implant, Tim, and I had been looking for a thread about it. I'm looking forward to picking your brain about it later after it's done
As far as energy drinks, I think the sugarfree ones are fine, I avoid the sugar ones anyway just on the principle of too much concentrated sugar which = a huge amount of calories. I prefer to eat my calories, not drink them lol.

@ alimommy1, I have an appointment scheduled to talk to the guy that's doing the implant and get a final outcome cost around the 2nd week of august. As soon as I get information about the cost and the procedure I will post it in my new story line and also on my website which is currently undergoing repairs.

Thanks! I actually know two people who have gotten them, one was miserable for a couple of DAYS after. I think I had told you I made an appt to do it and then I chickened out, partially because of the huge cost and partially because the idea of having something screwed into my bone was making me queasy. The dentist I went to about the inman does implants too, and he was telling me that I wouldn't need to make 2 or 3 appts, the temporary they place over it stays there until the permanent one is put on a few months later. Either way I think I'm going to deal with my relapse problem before I deal with the missing tooth problem, if I need part of the space then I suppose it's better to take it while it's there instead of trying to create more later lol.

Yup I was doing a bit of research I went ahead and shot the gun and will make an appointment with the implant specialist next time he's in town. Guess he does several offices and will only be at the one I go to once a month and that will be on August 6th which I will be out of town for. So I figured I will go do my cleaning appointment August 12th "Deep Cleaning uppers and regular cleaning lowers" then after that I will schedule my appointment with the orthodontist and start my re-brace process and make an appointment with the implant specialist in September when he will be in the office.alimommy1 wrote:Thanks! I drink sugar free rockstars out of a straw. Every few sips I swish a bit with water.
My ortho wants me to only have one carbonated beverage a week and I explained that just wasn't going to cut it - so he explained that the water would help.
It's the best compromise really - so far, no issues. But I promised him if I started losing brackets due to the acid I'd stop.
