Invisalign and cold remedies

#1 Post by sammywantstraightteeth »

I have a runny nose and a sore throat. There are a few people at work who have had summer colds, and my husband had a bad one last week - so I think it is a genuine cold rather than a reaction to the trays. It kicked in 2 days after I changed to tray 2, and doesn't seem to get any better when I take them out to eat.

Anyway, the reason this sucks even more than usual is that I would normally comfort myself with throat lozenges and methol sweets etc, and with only 2 hours a day to see to eating, drinking and dental hygeine, there isn't much time left to make use of such things now that I have invisalign.

There are over the counter drugs in capsules like lemsip capsules that claim to soothe sore throats. Has anyone ever tried those things? Do they actually do anything? Or should I just take plain old paracetamol/ibuprofen and save my cash?
