Best = all of the compliments & attention from the ladies :D

Worst = I have gained a lot of weight probably 20 pounds. Can't necessarily blame it on the braces tho.

Worst: A tie between poking wires and always having to think about what I'm going to be able to eat (then having whatever it is get stuck everywhere)
Best: I'm one fifth of the way through my 24 months!

I have a poking hook on the lingual side, and I also have to think, "Can I eat this while still looking like a civilized human being?" and then have to worry about getting everything out of the brackets. Ugh. :(

Best = I won't say my teeth being straighter, becuase I have a long way to go, but I like choosing lig colours and the complements.

Worst = The feeling of pressure after each adjustment, and having to spend about half an hour each day on teeth cleaning.

How many months to see what your new smile will look like?

#21 Post by believer1964 »

In other words, the smile I see now at 2 months in braces is not going to be the same smile I see in 1 year from now or even 1 1/2 yrs from now.

When you are close to being done, at what point did you see kinda what your new smile going to look like permanately before your braces were taken off? Was it 6 months before having braces taken off, 3 months before having braces taken off?

I hope this makes sense.

my upper teeth were straight after 4 months, so my smile didn't change very much since then.
only my bite changed (and the lower teeth straightened, of course)

BEST: That I am seeing great results and I am more comfortable with my smile now.

WORST: When the brackets, hooks and wires poke you and you have no wax :(

I have had my braces for 8 month.
Worst: pokey wires, staining, cleaning, eating
Best: seeing constant movement, smiling confidently!
