Brides and Braces?

#1 Post by smilelikeyoumeanit »

Has anyone out there gotten married in braces? Will anyone? I'm getting married in April. I will have my braces on. I have ceramic braces. I will have my wire out for the wedding and will only have the clear brackets on my teeth.

All of my friends and fiance are totally supportive and say that it will be fine, but I'm a little worried!

Our wedding is not formal by any means...it is going to be an old-fashioned backyard southern party. I know it's going to be an amazing day, regardless, but I"m curious if anyone else has gone through the experience.

I was due to have braces fitted just before my wedding - full metal ones and I didn't care one bit..neither did my husband, friends or family and the photographer was so supportive even though it would cause her hours of work on photoshop! As it goes my appointment was postponed and I had them fitted two weeks after but the most important thing is that you are marrying your loved one...who cares if you do it with braces on???!

You'll be having such a fab day you wont even think about it! I had mine fitted between wedding and honeymoon. I wish I hadn't put it off now though. I want to have my wedding pics re-done with my new smile in 18 months time! LOL

When I first decided I should have braces, I was a few months away from getting married and I decided there was no way I was having for the wedding.

Now I wish I had. Looking at my smile just 4 months into braces I feel like it looks so much nicer than the one in my wedding photos. Wish I'd gone ahead and done it.

Oh well. Good look on your happy day. Braces will be the last thing on your mind :)
