Bone Augmentation

#1 Post by pompompadom »

Hello

I finished my bottom row almost a year ago and was bothered by a wobbly tooth. After having an xray it showed bone loss and my ortho has recommended me to have a bone augmentaion.

Questions;
1. What the owww factor?
2. Its booked in for 20th December -will I be able to eat Xmas dinner?
3. Any one have any reassurance I'm such a nervous dental patient, I haven't slept in nights thinking about it

Thanks

You should really have asked your dentist about this.. However from what I'm reading the owww factor seems really painful for a while for most people. I am finding that it can take up to 12 months to "completely fill" and heal. However I'm sure you will be in pain on xmas, not to be a bummer or negative, just might want to hold off on that surgery till after xmas if you want to enjoy your food and xmas. I'm sorry you have to go through this, and i'm sorry to break this news to you..
