Name the craziest/weirdest thing you've done while braced?

I'm curious... What is the craziest/weirdest thing you'v done while braced?.... I was at fast food resturant with a friend, and I had him to bend the excess wire in my mouth toward my teeth with a fork. Also, I've used a metal finger nail file to file down the exess wire. Being poked all day is no fun.

My husband threatened to clip the end of a very pokey wire with some pliers but I was too scared to let him!

Brushed my teeth in the car after each meal while driving to Florida.

After eating out, while still sitting at the table, I've used a straw to scrape away the food stuck between my brackets and my cheeks, the stuff that's too high up for my tongue to reach.

Hmmm...used a hair grip to poke out some bread that got stuck in my brace whilst out shopping...

...I'm always popping my elastics in and out at my desk at work, not sure if anyone's noticed but its sooo much trouble to go find somewhere private every time I want to eat!!

...made my boyfriend be a guinea pig when I wanted to see if having lingual braces on top made a difference to a certain, ahem, act...(poor thing, you'll be glad to know it was all okay though ha!)

...people look at my like I'm a nutter when I pull my sandwich/pizza to pieces instead of biting into it, I must look like I have some kind of eating issues!

I'll have a think on any more!!

Well, I got my tongue stuck in one of my brackets on like the second day that I had braces. I had just eaten and was running my tongue along my bottom teeth and sure enough got it stuck, had to pick at the poor taste bud that was stuck, in the mirror until it came out, darn thing hurt for a week!

So funny, great topic. I can admit to doing most of these things. I definitely brush my teeth in the car all the time (not while driving). I do it in the parking lot at fast food restaurants all the time.

ok I am so ghetto, I know...when I first got my braces on I would always forget to bring along floss and my little tree brushes. We went to Burger King and I had TONS of food stuck in my braces. I tried cleaning it out by swooshing my drink in my mouth but it didnt quite complete the job so I Looked down, noticed my ripped jeans had a long string hanging off so I used it as floss hahaha it worked GREAT

and just like Larah I had a pokey wire and my husband tried to clip the end of it with a nail clip but it was too far back and the clippers were sharp enough
