Good luck with the TAD's on Tuesday! Post some pictures afterward if you get the chance.

Thanks lilone x

Just got back. What can i say but pain pain pain. "Oh dont worry there will be no pain" YEAH RIGHT. Let me just screw this into the roof of your mouth as see hoe YOU feel doctor!!!!!!!!

Ouch ouch ouchy... :(

I had two micro screws inserted or should i say SCREWED in. I could hear it all. It was disturbing! Both upper left and right. They were just your everyday household screws that you would find in your dad toolbox :yuck:
This is not pleasant. I know the pain will get better but for the meantime its quite sore. Ill take photos tomorrow and attempt to post them.
Anyone thats getting tads....well it hurts. The pain feels the same as when i had a dry socket. On top of all this i still had to come into work :( Luckily tomorrow is Australia Day so i can nurse my wounds on a public holiday.

Ok well im going to go and pretend to work. catch you all later.
p.s all orthos are liars

Yikes. :(

Did they use any anesthetic? I thought it was supposed to be a painless procedure. Hopefully it heals fast and doesn't cause you too much pain for too long.

I've heard other people say it didn't hurt either. I wonder if it depends on where they screw them in. You know how needles on the palate KILL, while the others are just a little pinch. It may be the same with these things. Did they not numb you at all?

I hope you are feeling better soon!!!!

Hi All,

Havent checked in for a while now. A few changes have happened. Tads no longer hurt, barely notice them. Last week I had these plastic things attached to them (great explanation!)
Finally got my lower ceramic wire changed. I was surprised that I havent been in pain at all.
My upper teeth are moving at the rate of a dead snail........

AND......of course this morning at work PING, my lingual wire came loose AGAIN. Can someone please tell me is this going to make my treatment time longer? I cant seem to have a wire in place for more than a few days. Im so sick of going back to the ortho every 2 weeks. The teeth are still held with pressure by the loose wire.....im just to lazy to make the constant hikes to into the city orthodontist.
