Orthodontist recommendation Cambridge, uk?

Hi, I keep seeing people say you should get an orthodontist recommended, but I don't know anyone with braces on! Can anyone recommend an orthodontist in Cambridge, uk?

I will be a private patient, in general should I be looking for one who does NHS work as well, as they will be skilled and genuine, or one who only does private, because the best orthodontists don't work for the NHS? Or can't you generalise like that lol

You are definitely right, one should not generalise like that and feels guilty if previous posts suggested this.
All orthodontists have undergone years of training and are equally skilled in their field of work no matter where they work. Good luck in finding an orthodontist in your area.

Do you drive? my ortho is in Biggleswade. He is NHS and private, children and adults! He opens late night one day a week for private patients which is good for after work!

I go to Smiles orthodontics as a private patient. I think they're good but obviously don't have anything to compare them to!! I trust them and feel comfortable which is the main thing i guess. Also, I have seen other adult patients there so I dont feel too embarrassed in a waiting room of teenagers!

They have a website you could google.

Good luck choosing anyway - I think the main thing is being happy with your choice. I think if I didn't like my ortho then I would be really struggling right now! As a kid I was terrified of dentists and would never have done this! Now I still dont like my (normal) dentist check-ups but I have no worries going to the ortho!
