Just a quick thank you..
..to everyone who has recommended buying a waterpik. I got the cordless plus one from Boots today for £45 and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Had a right little giggle to myself when I first attempted to use it, spraying water all over the bathroom and myself, haha!

Re: Just a quick thank you..
I just got one yesterday!! I love it and I haven't even gotten my braces on yet. I had braces in the past and I wish I had one back then.

Re: Just a quick thank you..
I also gave my bathroom a shower when I tried to use it lol. Somehow I kept forgetting to press the button when I took it out of my mouth. I'm hoping this coordination issue improves lol

Yes it is THE BEST INVENTION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! for people with braces. I seriously don't know why the orthos don't give you one when you get your braces, even if they had to charge you. I get a 100% better cleaning with the cordless waterpik then with brushing and flossing alone.
I travel with mine and have seriously considered taking it in my purse to restaurants but have not yet .LOL. If it was a bit quieter I would.
So if anyone is considering it, JUST DO IT, If mine broke I would be buying one within 5 minutes, it is that good.
A little hint...... my friend said that you should always leave it plugged in because it extends the battery life, they did not with their 1st one and Waterpik sent them a new one because it is a common problem I guess if you don't.

I LOVE MY WATERPIKS!!!
Yes, plural. I use the regular one at home, and I just bought a portable one for work, and used it for the first time today. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, and the water that fits in the reservoir is just enough for me to do a quick once-over on the front and back of my teeth before I have to refill it. But it's more than I need to get all my food particles out after lunch.
Thanks for the tip on keeping it plugged in. Not sure where I could keep it plugged in at work, but I'll figure out something.

Re: Just a quick thank you..
What kind/brand of waterpik do you guys use? I'm thinking of getting one but have no idea which one is good (and doesn't take up too much counterspace).
Thanks!!!

Re: Just a quick thank you..
I've definitely sprayed water all over the bathroom with the waterpik. I have the ultra water flosser waterpik that has to be plugged in, but I still like it. It took me a while to figure out how to use it without getting water everywhere and I only started using it when I got braces.

I seriously can't imagine the condition my teeth may be in without it! I brush diligently, floss, and the waterpik still finds pieces of food lodged in there. I have an expander and bite splint in addition to braces so there are lots of nooks and crannies!!
Re: Just a quick thank you..
sjs8906 - that's the same one I use, too! It's just amazing tovme how you can brush and floss forever, and the Waterpik will STILL find something in there. The first few days I practiced with it, I had the cleanest eyeballs and nostrils in town!

This is the one I have I think or the newest model

The reviews on Amazon aren't very good though, these people obviously don't have braces.
It is worth every penny. I do not have any counter space to put the plug in one, so this is great for me. I have thought about getting the Quickbreeze, either the one for the sink or shower.

I love my waterpik. I use the newest model and have used the older one in the past.
Best purchase I have made since my treatment began. Don't use it after surgery though as it is too powerful.
