Just wondering if anyone knows the rate of class II relapse when teeth remain straight. If elastics or forsus are used to correct class II, then will a retainer keep the correction or will it just keep the teeth straight and the class II jaw relation may gradually return? Does that make sense?

I would add this to my previous post but I can't edit:

I'm wondering exactly how elastics and/or forsus correct class II? I know it doesn't move the jaw itself. If it moves the teeth within the bone, I wonder if success is based on amount and density of bone? I added pictures to my "braces story" and you may or may not be able to tell that I don't have a lot to work with. I am very petite so I don't have very dense anything, but I do have very large teeth. I wonder if this would limit the space available for class II correction and would cause the teeth to want to shift back after elastics are removed....any ideas?

I declined the surgery route also. I'm currently beling treated with carriere distalizers. About a month after they put the cd's on they pulled the top wisdom teeth and we have had great success with movement since then. Will try to get some pictures up of the progress.
