#1 Post by lgee24 »

im 25 yrs old I have had my braces for a little over a month now. I only have my top braces for now will be a little while before I get bottoms ones. I have the clear ceramic on top and will have the standard silver on bottom. I am very nervous and anxious throughout this time, I feel like everyone is starring at me. I go for my first adjustment this week and I am terrified. I have not noticed any changes thus far hopefully I see some difference soon

I can guarantee you most people don't even notice you have braces. :)

The adjustments are not really that bad. If your teeth are sore going in, tell the tech and ortho that they hurt and which one/s are the worst so they can be extra careful with those teeth. My techs are always super careful to hold the sore teeth when they re-tie them and that sort of thing, so that they don't get moved around too suddenly.

Give it some time; I got my braces on starting in early December and despite the pain, I'm really happy I'm doing this.
