Braces for a bridge?

Hi , I just got braced three weeks ago at the end of May 2011. I got braces to fix my bridge. There is not enough room in the front on top to put a bridge that looks uniform to the other side. My dentist figured out that I needed braces to gain 3mm so that I could get a nice looking and fitting bridge. Well I have my braces on temporaries and it is freaking me out and they are so funny looking. I feel like such a freak and I really anxious about the results -- has anyone had a similar experience -- braces on temps and braces to gain space for the fake tooth? Please help me relieve my anxiety and feel that things will work out and line up.
