Congratulations! What a huge differance in your smile before and after!

I would love to hear from you after about 3 months to see how you're doing and if there are any major changes in you and your life.

These are excellent results in such a short time!!!!!

As I am just starting my journey with braces, seeing results like this totally encourages me!!! I also have overcrowding and have not done any extractions.

Wow, what an amazing result! You now have me hoping that with my overcrowding and no extractions, it won't take the full 24 months! I'm loving how white your teeth are... you have a beautiful Hollywood smile now :jump:

Thanks for your nice comments! I hope that my progress story is useful and encouraging for adults contemplating fixed braces.
Three months on and I’m still smiling :D Here’s proof.

I’m much more confident now when meeting people and I don’t have to keep my mouth shut in photos so no more miserable looking snaps. I travel to the US quite a bit on business and was always conscious of my “British teeth”. Worry no more! Many times, I’ve been chatting to a girl I’ve just met and they interrupt and say… I have beautiful teeth :D I’m thinking YES! I’ve been tempted to pull out my before and after pictures and tell them about Damon braces, IPR, elastics, retainers etc. but I don’t want to sound too geeky so I just accept the compliment.

I’ve maintained my after meal brushing routine I had while wearing braces and carry my little dental kit around with me everywhere still. I find I can’t tolerate an unwashed mouth anymore.

I’d convinced myself nothing could be done especially without extractions and so put off getting my teeth fixed for years. So I’m really pleased now that I met a good orthodontist (by chance) who explained all the options. The whole process has been well worth the cost and discomfort and I’d do it all again.

Your teeth look AMAZING!!!! How did you manage to keep them sooo white??

Its amazing how straight,perfect teeth can change someone's face. I actually have bimaxilliary protrusion and i DID have extractions (4 premolars) but i definitely needed it!!! and I can't wait to have that perfect smile!!

I can easily believe girls interrupt to tell you how nice your teeth are. They are dazzling. The first thing I noticed in your before pic, though, was how beautiful your teeth were (although not straight) - so clean and white and beautifully shaped. You must be so happy.

your teeth look amazing! They are like an advert for a perfect smile lol a perfect colour as well! I wish I could get such a rounded arch in the end. Congrats!

wow!!! thats crazy, your teeth were not horrible before yes you needed braces but I have seen worse, but the difference to after is amazing.

I noticed that in the before pictures when you smile the teeth do not match up, my teeth do this now and im worried they will not even out is this something that happened with yours over time or did they do anything special?

Thanks Steve. The brackets I had on my upper 6 were Inspire ICE. They are low profile and did not stain at all.

Nothing special was done. The upper and lower front teeth lined up naturally during the treatment. I was using elastics at a couple of different angles on my canines to pull them back into alignment at one stage but not for long. The rest of the bite settled by itself really.
