using a child sized toothbrush
i have started using a child toothbrush to brush my teeth and braces. I find the smaller head makes it easier to brush in hard to reach places and the bristles are very soft. Does anyone else use a child size toothbrush too?

I love those little kid brushes. I use my elecric Oral-b...then use the childrens brush to clean the top and bottom of the brackets really well.

I do too! I didn't want to say so because I thought it might seem silly, but I love it! My 4-year-old had some extra ones (she's good at talking the dentist into giving her more than one at each visit) so she let me have a pink one. The handle is shaped like a penguin with a little suction cup on the bottom to help him stand upright. So in addition to making brushing easier in small spaces, he also makes me smile!

absolutely! You're ahead of the game Tiny. I wasn't getting "in there" even with my regular sonicare brush so my dentist recommended additionally using the kids brush for the nooks and crannies (though I hope my teeth don't look like an english muffin)

I use a child sized toothbrush when I'm not using my Oral-B electric brush. I love it because it gives me a valid excuse to have The Little Mermaid on my toothbrush.
Estimated Treatment Time: 30 Months

I'm so glad to hear that others use these, too! I was hunting high and low for just a simple, soft child's toothbrush (you know, the kind we used to get from the dentist when we were kids), but all I can find is stuff with cartoons, lights and buzzers on them. I did come across a simple pack of 2 child's toothbrushes for about $3.00. Oh... And they light up for one minute when you press a button, so kids (and I) know when to switch!

I use a child's size toothbrush for the nooks and crannies. They are especially helpful around hooks. I had a hard time finding a normal child's toothbrush at the store, so I just ask my dentist for one at each cleaning.

Re: using a child sized toothbrush
I've been using a child-sized toothbrush for years, way before I had braces, because my mouth has been so crowded with all these humongous teeth that it was the only thing I could really fit in there and actually get my teeth clean. Adult-sized toothbrushes would actually bruise me because it was so hard to jam them in by my back molars.
