I'm new to the board! My name is Lexi and I just got braces 4 days ago. I'm 22 years old and have always wanted braces because my teeth were terribly crooked and I would hide my smile and hate to show my teeth. So I'm finally taking the plunge and will have a pretty smile in 2 1/2 years. :)

Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

I am also new to AW and have found this forum very informative and eveyrone is super nice and full of great advice! Congratulations on embarking on your orthodontic adventure! I too will be joining the braces club in 2 days time! Can't wait!

Congrats on getting braces. I am about to turn 22 and will be getting braces next week! My expected treatment time is about 2 years. It is so nice to see other people around the same age getting braces!

Congrats on getting braces! I turn 20 in a few months! And I've had my braces for almost two weeks so far. I hope everything goes well, I understand how you feel, I've always hide my smile because I wasn't happy with my teeth, hopefully that'll change in time! :)
