That's weird that you guys were told about the face sagging or aging prematurely.. I hadn't been told that or heard that before ya'll said it!!

Also, I just found out yesterday actually that I have been approved for my Lefort I, Sagittal Split and Septoplasty surgery!!........after almost FOUR MONTHS going back and forth with my insurance company.... Thankfully though, that part is over and now I can just focus on my treatment to prepare, getting myself/house/bf/friends/family ready for my surgery and lastly, to prepare my works (2 jobs to pay for the braces which insurance did NOT cover the $6940...) for my LOA.. Day job I'll be out for about a month, 2nd job about 6-8 weeks depending on how I re-acclimate to the day job. Paying for the surgery itself shouldn't be but about $2K-$3K bc my plan has an out of pocket max of $3250 that I've already paid $1500 towards...

As for WHY I'm getting the surgery, my orthodontist actually told me when I was a teen in HS that I needed full mouth metal braces and surgery to fix my bite and I told him "hell no I'm not gonna do that while in school!!" and my mom unfortunately went with me  At 26 now though, I am sleeping less and less like I should be, memory problems from lack of restful sleep, don't have sleep apnea, but I might as well have it bc I just know I wake up in the night sometimes without realizing it.... I definitely snore and shift a lot so bf being a light sleeper doesn't get sleep either... I am a mouth breather mostly since my deviated septum doesn't allow proper flow though my nasal cavity.... My lower jaw is set too far back so we're also thinking my tongue obstructs my airways there making it difficult to breathe through my throat when sleeping as well. I also frequently get headaches so it would be REALLY nice to get rid of those!!!!!

On top of all that, I've already had to get a crown on one of my back molars and my orthodontist says that it's because my jaws are mis-aligned and therefore grinding unnecessarily on each other; that if I waited to do the surgery or never did it, I'd have all my loars crowned by 40-50!!!!!

Cosmetic reasons are there of course, but mostly just annoyed and dislike my "gummy" smile since my jaw is so far back, my lips have to stretch extra far to open for smiling and my top jaw being lower than it should/could be (Lefort I).
