Hey there Fernanda! Congrats on your new braces! Your subject line caught my eye "Bride to be" because my son in getting married in a few weeks and I am only just about 4 months into my braces myself! I was kind of thinking he may have wanted me to wait until after his wedding to get braced, but he and his bride to be are happy that I went through with it. I am a little nervous about a bible reading I am doing at his wedding ceremony though...sometimes I think I still talk a little funny! Good luck! Keep smiling!

Congrats on the big event!! I’m concerned about the reading and talking to others but THE SMILING!!! :-#) it was worries me more.. i need to practice my new smile to look normal in the previous event pictures, yesterday I had a family reunion and i was worried while eating and talking to everyone i thought everyone was going to notice food stuck in the Brackets luckily it went well and I kept going to the bathroom to checkup in the mirror, I couldn’t help having red wine and since I got ceramics with crystal ligatures i was mortified it would stain them. But nothing happened.

To be honest... if I knew it was going to be this painful i would thought about it twice...nobody told me they were sharp!!! but it was now or never because this is my maid of honor wedding gift since her dad is my orthodontist and they only charged me the braces and the material and I will pay them after I return form my honeymoon, so it was a good deal

The hooks are killing me slowly, :gavel: they get upper ones poke my upper lip I’m almost out of wax.. And the wire at the end of my upper braces is poking my cheek, the dentist told me it was going to happen, but I wasn’t expecting this soon, and i know that is a good sign! So I’m optimistic. And although the treatment won’t be done before my wedding I am confident my smile will look much better I’ll get them removed a week before and then they’ll put them again after I return from the honeymoon

Ill be posting pictures anytime soon

hello!!
tomorrow is my 1st month aniversary and i have seen a lot of progress but on monday i had my first adjustment and I dindnt experienced any pain just preassure while i was there at the dentist, I asked the dentist if iwas going to expect pain, and she said a bit like a 3 but lots of preassure.. OMG she was soooo wrong I woke up in pain, it was like a 7 since in some pieces they put wires instead of elastics and they also changed my arch and cinched to the back brackets.. so... today.. 3 days after the adjustement I can eat but still have pain... it has come down to a 2...

Hey! I just got mine on last week.. wish I had had mine done before I got married.. I never smiled in my pictures. That's awesome you can get 'em off and put 'em back on again though. I can't wait to get my first wire replaced (or whatever they do). I don't know how much correction you need, but I can't stop staring at the little gap in between my top two teeth, hoping for a change. I know it's going to take a while, but I'm so impatient. I feel like, if I feel pressure, they should be moving.. WHY aren't they moving?! lol. Hopefully after the next appointment I'll start to see a liiittle change at least. Anyway, good luck!

Hi Fernanda!

I'm in a very similar situation... my wedding is in 261 days and I just got my braces yesterday. My orthodontist is also taking my braces off for the wedding, so happy about that! It's comforting to know I'm not the only one out there going through all the pre-wedding stuff with braces on!
