ummm orajel or anbesol? Just rub a little bit on it's supposed to numb you a bit when you have a toothache.

Any pharmacy. CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade, etc. Go into the aisle that has the mouthwash toothpaste and toothbrushes. It comes in a little tube. google for pics of it so you can recognize them.

it will hurt for a week, and the pain will peak at approx 2-3 days. I know they are nasty, but what to do? I personally took crazy doses of ibuprofen at first, but it did not help so I just let it go. Hang in there. Time will pass faster than you know it.
Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

Hang in there, lornylooloo. I hope the orajel works! I basically did the same as ArchWired28. I would sometimes put a heating pad on my face. I'm not so sure that it helped, but it would distract me from the uncomfortableness for awhile. Other than that, your teeth will gradually move so they will become less and less uncomfortable, but you sort of have to just take it. Try some things to distract you.

...I also complained on my journal a lot in this forum lol. (I'm sure it kept me from driving my husband completely insane haha).

Stay strong!

Spacers made me crazy!!!! Hated them!!! One was so bad I pulled it out with tweezers! I just could not take it. I took Advil (4) then two hours took tylenol (2). When they pulled them out it felt so good!!! It wil be over soon. The first few days of braces are horrible too. It gets better I promise!
