It's almost time ... :)

#1 Post by Deens Dents »

Hello everybody!

So, I'm 24 years old - nearly 25 (ahh!) - and I'm scheduled to have my braces put on next week. I've been through the whole consultation process and have decided I'm just going to go for the traditional braces and really have everything put where it belongs. My top teeth are moderately crowded, and have a deep overbite. My orthodontist plans to extract the first premolars then put the braces on for 24 months.

Overall, I don't think my teeth are terrible at first glace - for crowded teeth, they picked a fairly nice way of piling together - but my bite is one wonky creature on its own, which I only make worse by being a nighttime grinder.

I'm feeling all sorts of things now that the actual day is approaching. I'm sort of nervous, but mostly excited ... I can't wait to have a smile that I can really show off!

Anyway, just here to hear other peoples stories, and share my journey along the way. :) Thanks for reading!
