HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

#1 Post by Kirsten2011 »

Happy New Year everyone! This year sees me celebrating my first year of Adult braces, 10th February. An entire year! That went buy really quickly I must say, and already the results are amazing! I think I have another 9 months to go and they come off - so excited! I must admit that I am rather tired of having them now. I have also become a bit bored of the colours and the fun element is wearing off for me  :( I think I am looking forward to having a perfectly normal smile with no metal, no wires, no colours.
And of course what I am most looking forward to, is being able to eat properly, without food getting caught in between my braces/gums/teeth.... and to floss like a normal person :)
Apart from that, the journey so far hasn't been all too bad. Shockingly, more guys are interested in me regardless of the braces!! And except for peanut brittle and Cadbury's Crunchi, I've been able to consume most foods: burgers, spare ribs, pasta, spinach, carrots, potatoes, etc....
Since the removal of the gallbladder, however I have only now begun to enjoy foods! Prior to that gallbladder attacks just prevented me from enjoying my food.
Treated myself end of the last year to a new tattoo to complete my leg, so really excited about that!
My next appt with the Ortho is on 24th January, but am seeing a new Dentist for scale and polish this Friday 13th (better be a lucky Friday 13th!!). My previous Dentist just shut down her practice last month without even informing her patients (!!!) Unreal!! :braces_angry:
