My daughter has long face syndrome (or adenoid facies) and after a lot of consideration, we have decided to start making arrangements for surgery. We saw Dr. Alexander Kim at Kaiser in San Marcos, CA and he seemed quite nice. However, after the consult, I found quite a few negative reviews about him and am now very nervous.
Has anybody had any experiences or jaw surgery by Dr. Kim? I have called Kaiser to find out more about him, but they said they couldn't offer much information other than his credentials.
I would like to know what other peoples' experiences with him were like. Are there any other good surgeons with Kaiser, Southern California?
My daughter's ortho is leaning towards upper and lower jaw surgery with SARPE.
Thank you.

Re: Questions about Dr. Kim in San Marcos, CA
I know this is a few years after your post, but in case anyone else is considering Dr. Alexander Kim, I have to give my whole-hearted recommendation of him. He did my SARPE on 4/23/15, and I was very happy with him. At my first visit with him, he took a long time to explain what needed to be done to correct my jaw, and made sure that I felt comfortable with the next steps. The only complaint that I had was due to scheduling on my day of surgery--I was scheduled to have surgery at 1pm, and it ended up not starting until 5pm. But Dr. Kim himself came over to let me know of the delay, and check in on me. Overall, I was very happy with Dr. Kim, and I'm confident in him doing my double jaw surgery next summer.
