Will I have my attachments removed after refinements?

Hi,
I'm going to finish my set of refinements next month...finally! Even though my teeth are still ugly and bending from one side, I'm done with those braces and I'll take whatever shape they have!!

I'm wondering if I will have removed my attachments after my last tray or will I keep it until the set of retainers are ready for me to wear...

Do I need to take again the impression of my teeth after the refinements?
How long is going to take for the retainers usually?

I already know that I'm going to wear it for at least another 6 months everyday...

Your attachments should be removed and new impressions/scan should be taken for refinement. There are, however, accounts of doctors who have not removed attachments until the new trays come in and those who do not take impressions for refinement.
