So I just passed my one year anniversary with these bloody braces and I feel like I've had little improvement. They are on for an incorrect bite and aside from the side that my teeth meet switching sides I have what feels like no improvement, eating is still a giant pain in the ass.
How long till everybodies bite leveled out because I would actually like to eat like a normal person in the near future, I'm training for a 300km bike ride and most energy bars for me are out (impossible to eat)
Just needed to vent I guess I'd be interested to hear other peoples experiences with bite improvement

Re: one year anniversary, and frustrated
I just started my 3 year journey last month to correct bite issues. But I have a little 'straightening' and 'rotating' to do on individual teeth, but most of the work is on correcting the bite. So I figure it's going to take most of the 3 years for my bite to be corrected.
What was your estimated time in braces to correct your issues? If you're getting close, talk to your ortho about an updated de-brace estimate. If not, I think practicing patience is about all you can do (and I know for me, I need to practice A LOT!)
Regarding energy bars - what about Gu? I'm going to be trying to do another half marathon this fall, and my energy-source of choice was sports beans (from Jelly Belly) and I know those are out. I know I'm going to have to get used to the Gu, but not really looking forward to it.
You did remind me I need to call my ortho - I managed to put a bend in my arch wire from eating a Clif Bar on Mardi Gras, so I know what you mean about even non-nutted bars being impossible to eat.
