Happy to report that I didn't damage them. My ortho looked at them and said I put the wires back in fine and he didn't need to do anything to the wires. He said it was good I came in to check though. He did find one of my ligatures on a bottom bracket had half come off, which I noticed myself from the start and thought it was meant to be like that. You might be able to notice which one on the photos, it's the 2nd in on the right of the photo (hard to see at this size, though). And he replaced my ligatures for free, which was great! Lovely and clear again
Oh, and I asked him what technically is wrong with my teeth. He says I have midline shift (which was obvious to me already), a slight overjet and a fair overbite. All will be fixed by the end

I'm not sure I see much difference in the photos, though I think it's more obvious if you look at the wire. You might be able to see some slight movement in the bottoms, but unfortunately it's difficult to tell with my photos as I can never get the angles perfectly the same each time. Hopefully the photos will benefit somewhat anyway! I think I'll have slightly slow movement to begin with. My ortho did say that the maximum teeth can move through either rotation or movement is 1mm per month, so I should probably expect more obvious results nearer my first adjustment
. they are very pricey though. i had a look in boots earlier and saw one for about £46. don't know if it is worth it. they also have a simple portable one for about £16.
