In-Ovation C...cost?

#1 Post by thisfinecity »

Hi Everyone,

I just got In-ovation C braces on 2 weeks ago. I decided that I had to get braces on before my 25th birthday and after years of going to ortho's for consultations I just went ahead and got them on.

My ortho told me In-ovation C would be my best treatment option. Top and bottom with an 18 month estimate. This includes all office visits and a permanent retainer at the end. After looking around at what other people have paid, i'm starting to wonder if i'm paying a lot more then normal for them. The total came to $6,950 (and this is in Toronto) - I know it depends on where you are located too.

I guess my research is a little backwards since I already committed to them but just wondering what other people think of the cost, is it normal?

Hey!

I'm from Toronto as well and I am getting braced this coming Thursday. My fee is $6000 inclusive (bonded and Hawley retainers and appt's for 2 yrs after my debanding). I went to a total of 5 consultations and the quotes were; $7100, $5350, $6480, $5125, $6000. Torontos prices seem a bit higher than those in the States. You're definitely toward the higher end but if you like your Ortho and feel he (or she) is going to give you your perfect smile then it's money well spent :)
*I wish you all the best on your journey.

I have been in In Ovation metals for two years and the cost was 4800. in New Orleans. I was also given an 18 month estimate, I am starting to think they will never come off!

I don't believe we pay so much for the tool itself. I think it is for the orthodontist's time.

Perfect! Thanks for the reassurance guys! The ortho is really knowledgeable and nice too so I guess I trust her prices.

Just crazy how much we pay for a few tiny metal/ceramic pieces and a wire that clips in place :P
