Unhappy with invisalign results..

So I started my invisalign treatment in January 2011. Was given 14 trays, told it would take 7 months. I had to request 3 refinements for top and bottom, which were all free of charge. Treatment ended in June 2012, (took 17 months not 7) due to having to wait about 6 weeks for each set of refinements to arrive. My retainers were ordered (only 3 refinements were free). I've been wearing my retainers full time now for 2 weeks and my teeth are just not straight. They are definitely straighter than what they were but no way does it look like ive paid £2100 for them! They are very slightly crooked, hardly noticeable but I'm sorry if I've paid £2100 then I'm not settling for not perfect. Do you think my orthodontist would fit metal braces for me at no extra charge? I would only need them a couple of months I reckon! I'm just really angry that I paid extra for invisalign just because it was invisible but now I'm probably gonna need traditional braces! I just don't trust invisalign, the results aren't good and they take 6 weeks to get sent from the us/Canada wherever they are produced!

One ortho I went to that talked to me about invisalign, said he would fit traditional braces for aprrox. 2 months after invaslign. He didn't think invisalign works as good as regular old fashion braces. Therefore, I went with reguar old fashion braces. Had them fro 8 days and hoping for a change soon!

My ortho offers invisalign, but says he finishes 100% of his invisalign patients with fixed braces. For me, it wasn't an option anyway, but I thought that was interesting.

Wow that is interesting. What is the appeal of invisalign if most people end up with regular braces anyway???
