So i've been in braces nearly a year to correct an impacted canine tooth. The tooths been lined up for ages now and we've been straightening up other teeth that moved during the original correction process. At my last dental visit 3 weeks ago we were both happy and he took impressions for my bonded retainer and told me to come back in 4-6 weeks to have the brace taken off. Fast forward to today (One week before debanding) and I have noticed one of my front teeth has started to move out of place. I can't get an appointment this week am so frustrated. I know looking at this tooth that I wouldn't be happy with my brace coming off now. I guess i can presume now I won't be getting these off anytime soon then? Also who knows how long it will take to straighten that tooth back up and then I guess i'll need more impressions taking and then waiting for them to be made again?? FED UP
Thanks for replying.
I don't think retainers will be able to save me as I'm getting a bonded fixed retainer (thats what the impressions were taken for) and the plan is to also have a clear essix retainer also. Isn't it only the Hawleys retainers that can make adjustments?
