Hi, so I've had my braces for 3 months now and my teeth are already SOOO much straighter. But (and this is a huge BUT) my teeth are now very obviously wider at the bottom than the top. The bottoms all look pretty straight and touch but I now have noticeable gaps are the top of some teeth. In my opinion these look worse than the wonkiness!
Did anyone else have this and if so how was it corrected? I am considering asking to have my braces removed
I would encourage you to stick with the braces. Remember that it will get worse before it gets better. Some people end up going from crooked teeth to gaps, or vice versa (I went vice versa), but after waiting several months it finally all straightens itself out. I think sometimes our braces over-correct, though I may be wrong, but the orthodontist will continue to adjust as needed, and before long, everything will look as it should. Good luck!
