I absolutely HATE waiting :( I only had to wait for 2 weeks total. I went for a consult on Monday, had my molds taken next Monday and next Monday already had braces on. I went for a consult when I felt I was 100% ready for braces emotionally, physically and financially. If I had to wait for a long time... I could have changed my mind LOL  Unfortunately, fast is not always an option... Waiting is hard, and I applaud :jump: to those guys who can patiently wait. More power to you!
Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

I have no formal dental or orthodontic education. Hence, all opinions expressed by me on this forum are those of an "informed consumer" and by no means intended as an expert advice.

My whole process has been pretty quick this time around. I had done three consultations about two years ago but decided not to get braces at that time because I was in grad school at the time and had tons of expenses from that.

But this time around..I had my consultation on July 18 where I also had records taken the same day. I knew he was the orthodontist I wanted because I had met with him three years prior and loved him then (and now) so that is why I had records done the same day as my consult. I am getting my braces put on next Monday (August 6). So I guess the whole process for me will be about 2 1/2 weeks total.

The wait right now is killing me. I am just ready to finally get this process started. This week is probably going to feel like it is going by so slow :(

Oh I'm not waiting voluntarily. My ortho is only in this office twice a month so I had to wait two weeks for records and another two weeks for bonding. Slowest month of my LIFE. *melodrama*

I actually shopped around a lot and time didn't seem like it was moving so slowly but now that I've decided upon an ortho and I have my records appointment scheduled it's dragging.
