4. What is your estimated time in braces? Well, dentist said 8 months, ha, ha, it's been 16 months and plenty still do be done so I'm aiming for the 2 year mark.

I just had my molds done today, but I have a cleaning scheduled for the 2nd, so I won't get braces until the 8th. I didn't plan to get started today, since it was my second consultation at an office I'd never heard of, but the people were so friendly and seemed knowledgeable. They did my x-rays for free and discussed them with me, then showed me videos, samples, and models, and answered more questions than I asked. They were overall pretty awesome, and they were also $200 cheaper than my main office, which has never made me feel all that special, so I'm really glad I took the initiative to shop around a little because I think it will be a much better experience.

Consult #2 was $5700 for metal, $250 extra for invisalign during most of the treatment(which I went with even though I will need some metal at the end - I chose this ortho). So $5950

3) 18 months invisalign followed by 6 months metal braces
