Just got my braces!

Hi! I just got my top braces on 8/20/2012...Day 1 down 28 months to go! I am so excited to start this journey. I have always had teeth problems and finally decided to fix them the right way! I have a large gap between my front 2 teeth and a large overbite too. I will be getting my bottom braces in a few months. I have metal braces and trying to have fun with it and I started out with hot pink! I have been looking forward to this day for so long!!! Will add pictures soon =)

Congrats on getting your braces on yesterday!
It was also brace day for me yesterday, but I got uppers and lowers put on.

Yeah, congrats. Today was braces day for me. Getting used to them all over again.

WOW!!! Congratulations Everyone!! I was sooo happy when I finally got braces, and haven't been sorry one day of it!

Getting uppers on first is way easier, I think. I just have uppers now and it let's you ease knt the whole thing a little easier.

I would have to agree with this. I had my uppers on first (I had an overbite/deep bite so the uppers would hit the lowers too bad) then about 3 months later I had my lowers put on. It's not so intense (discomfort) and also it gives you time to get used to the new flossing routine without taking twice as long

I'm on week 3 of my braces, just had two teeth and man does it ache! Think (I say think, can't actually be sure!) that my front teeth have moved ever soooooo slightly but not much progress so far - patience is not my strongest point!xx
