Movement?

#1 Post by oimysizex »

Hello all!
so, just a quick question about movement.
How long does it take to see changes... I mean I'm expecting sudden, massive changes but ive seen some peoples teeth that move straight into treatment....
My teeth just seem the 'same'

advice anyone?:)

Just sit back and enjoy the ride. There's nothing you can do to speed it up, unfortunately. Those things are gonna be stuck to your teeth for about as long as your ortho estimated.
Also, it depends on your teeth and jaw and roots and all that. Everybody is a unique little snowflake.

Does it take longer to see changes if your teeth are straight already?
I only really have braces because I'm having surgery on my jaw and chin.

Oh absolutely. My teeth are pretty much straight and I've noticed no movement at all. Not that it matters really. I'm just in it for the metal.

Do you pay for your braces or get help from your insurance?

My insurance helped cover it. I got a rockin' deal for $2777 before insurance kicked in half.

Plackers. Get 'em. They fit under your wire and it takes 5-10 minutes TOPS to floss and that's if you're just messing around with your braces because it's fun. If you can't find them, try spam spam spam. They're the same thing; regular flossers with a thinner piece that fits right between the wire and your teeth.

Ooh. I looked around Amazon UK to reply to another post but I didn't see 'em. Let me see what I can find for you.........

OK, looks like you're going to have to order them from the US. :|
In the meantime just keep up with the annoying regular old floss, unfortunately.
