Hey Webbie! I am loving the yellow ligs. You are putting an idea in my head about what color I will get next week!! How are they holding up? Is any food causing the yellow to stain or fade?

Hey
The bands were actually white and they got stained. In the picture they are looking more yellow than what they actually look like. Indian food like curries (anything which has turmeric) stain the ligs.

Hi! I'm from india too, Mumbai to be specific :) Living in Singapore though :( Very homesick!

Where are you from? And if you don;t mind me asking, how much is the estimated cost of your treatment? My parents wanted me to get them there too, but i'm never there for more than 1 month every year, so it wasn't possible :(

Hi Fatty1403

I'm in Calcutta at present. Estimated cost of treatment - Rs 35000/-. Have to get scaling(cleaning) done-thats not included in the given cost. Estimated time is 1.5 years- 1 year permanent braces. Then have to wear retainers for some months.

I got braces in August(10th). After that I'm required to go only once a month. This time I've got power chans so I've got to go back after 2 months. Braces on the lower jaw haven't been fitted yet.

My update:

Had my second adjustment on 11th October. Got Power chains. The ortho said that would help to close the extraction gap. Next adjustment after 2 months. My teeth have moved a lot in the last 2 months. Now I'm eager to get braces fitted in the lower jaw as well.

The only problem is that the power chains have already started staining and looking yellowish. Does anyone have a solution?

I've got no solutions for India where curry is so common. Also, don't be in such a hurry to get them on bottom. It's a real pain to have both bottom and top.

Hi Webbie, how are you doing? did you notice any difference in your teeth gaps? have they reduced? I recently got a couple of teeth extracted and was wondering how long it would take for the gaps to close..

I have had powerchains for almost 2 months and mine are silver so they blend in with my braces - no staining! :-*
