Extraction of bottom incisor.

I'm feeling really, really sorry for myself at the moment as today I had my lower incisor removed before I get my bottom set of braces on. I feel so self concious and am dreading work tomorrow. I know I had to get it taken out as otherwise my bite won't meet properly once my top teeth are straight but right now I wonder what I have done!

So, a week on and I have my nice shiny bottom braces on. I feel so much better about the whole thing now and guess that the low points will make the end result all the more sweeter!!

I'm still a little self concious of the extraction in the bottom set of my teeth but that will close in time. Just another step in the quest for better teeth!

Yep, it'll all be worth it, a year or 2 of pain for a lifetime of glory :)

Estimated Debrace Date: 14th April 2013
Real Debrace Date 18th June 2013

4 extractions, upper ceramic brackets and lower metal to fix overjet and overcrowding.

I empathize. I had an extraction at the top around the side. I was so embarrassed every time I smiled once it was out. Now that the braces are on it's a teeny bit less noticable but at least I feel like there's a reason it's not there anymore.
