Getting braces at 41

Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 41 year old female and getting braces this Monday for the first time, my kids think I am insane. My teeth aren't really bad, I just want my gap between my front teeth closed and my front tooth is turned in slightly. I should only have to wear them for about 6 month. Everyone have a great day.

Hi Candi Congratulations! 6 months! That's awesome. I wish mine could be fixed in that amount of time (sadly while my problems at the front are fairly minor, the back not so much).

Well I got my braces on yesterday (tops only, bottoms in February), so far so good, no pain just alittle tenderness, hopefully it continues like this I would assume if I don't have pain the day after I won't develope any, or is that wishful thinking?
