Essix retainer... Can u drink coffee

Hi. I just got my Essex retainer this afternoon so only wearing it 2 hours. Just wondering if I need to take it off to have a cup of coffee?

I'm not in retainers yet unfortunately, but I've read to not drink or eat anything especially warm beverages with the Essix and Hawleys as they are made of plastic and will deform. That will be a huge inconvenience! Lol I love my coffee! :) but it'll be worth it to not go through this again!
