Professional teeth cleaning before and during?

I went before, 6 months in and now I am gonna be going every 3-4 months. My teeth look too yellow as there are areas I just cannot reach no matter what I use.

Probably a good idea to visit the hygenist for a professional clean before braces if you haven't had them cleaned in a while.

I had a full clean after the braces were removed but none during the treatment while the braces were on. They did need a clean at the end as there was some staining around the brackets.

I had my teeth cleaned before I got my braces on. Do the dentist/hygienist still floss your teeth for you when you go get your teeth cleaned with braces?

I am wondering if anyone got a clean before braces and then again after (not during) did the after clean create (or uncover) any gaps? I am paranoid that this will happen to me! I am having such a hard time getting my teeth cleaned with a hygienist, the waiting list is absolutely mental. At this rate the braces will be off before the clean - I would love to have it done before the braces come off and then that way if any spaces show up the braces are still on and can do their magic but not if they're already off.
