I think the pressure is something you get used to quickly, can't bite anything with my front teeth, but my teeth are not sore. The worst for me is the rubbing inside my cheeks and lips. I have covered the brackets and wires in wax the last couple of days in the hope that it eases soon.

Hope you feel better soon :P

Hi, Tiggypippin - well done for getting braced. Hope you get used to them soon. It's really exciting to watch crowded teeth separate out. Be patient the first couple of months though!
1st Feb 2012 - extraction both upper 2nd premolars
Braced 9th March 2012 - lower metal fixed and upper removable plate
5th September 2012 - bite plate gone, upper ceramic fixed fitted
Estimated treatment time 18-24 months

Thank you .... I'm feeling much better today, all the little sore spots are healing up and I have reduced my wax to the bare minimum and all is good.

Looking forward to seeing them straighten up too, I've lived with them all these years .... I can be patient for a wee while longer :P
