My new smile - the begining :)

#1 Post by therampagerado »

Today finally was my BD and I got Damon Clear. Tops only for now because of the deep bite.

Few (poor quality) pics:

Still no pain, just some pressure on the heavily rotated incisor. :GapToothed: Looking forward to the next few days.

The treatment is conducted in Bulgaria for the total price of 1000 Euro (tops n bottoms) and 50 Euros for retainers. Hop my OD does some good job to my yellowish teeth... :)

Nearly month after top braces news update:

- had some modest pain on front 6 teeth which is normal - at the moment we're working on them. It goes and comes back at the moment I can't figure out when & why but I don't care.
- front 4 moved little forward and wire straightened a little
- already seeing some progress on the left (the heavily rotated) incisor - at picture overlap it's like 5-10 degrees better which is NICE.
- eating and cleaning - no problem, just no junk food and no "out of home" eating. No problem brushing n stuff with my old paste and brush.
- had some bruises on the cheeks but they disappeared as fast as they came (2 days in and 2 days out) - used the was only once when it was unbearable but other than that - no problems.

Already smiling unnaturally wide...

Pics to follow in few days.

Those brackets look great! Do you find that they stain at all with coffee or wine? I'm getting six clear brackets on my front top teeth, but the rest metal. They'll be just like Damon brackets, just a different brand.

How long will you have your braces?

I don't think those ceramic compounds that they're made of will ever stain with something. But people say the glue will eventually stain. No problems for now. I don't drink red wine, only coffee and no problems.

Here's a quick animated gif I made today of my arch progress.

moitezubki .com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7.0;attach=3;image (just remove the space before .com because I'm unable to post pics for now..)

The first pic is the one with the food jammed above the braces (GROSS!!!) and the second one is month and 6 days in treatment (today).

Slight progress but I'm satisfied for now that at least there's any... Hope to speed up things with the next wire that's due to come on in 2 weeks. And month after that the bottoms should go on if everything is going good. :GapToothed:

(those img, avatar, signature limitations are awful! :Questions: )

I got them this Wednesday...

And on my gosh... it hurts a lot more than when the top went on! I already can see some movement but I guess that's normal because it's only a mild crowding at the front teeth and only have to do some arch development.

Obviously my ortho started with 0.013 on top because now she moved to 0.016 and again 0.013 on bottom.

I can't chew because I close my mouth sideways. I have misaligned mid-line and the right K9 bottom bracet is punching my top K9.... Awful... Hope things go fast from now on...

Will have my next appointment in 1 month..

Lol... nearly 6 months since my last post.

Things are getting better here.
We still have some work those 2nd incisors still have to rotate a bit but for that we have to open little more space.
I'm on rectangular wire on my bottoms now nothing interesting there.

Those pics are from 15.01.13 (day 199 with upper braces)
