Happy Mother's Day

#1 Post by djspeece »

In the US, today is Mother's Day, in honor of the women who put up with our antics, loved us despite our shortcomings, and shaped our lives in so many ways. Happy Mother's day to all the Moms out there, I hope you all have a wonderful day with your families. And for those of you who are fortunate to still have your Mom with you, please make sure you tell her how much you love and appreciate her!

Thank you, Daniel. I am a mom of two. I do appreciate my mother, and the amazing lessons she taught me and my two brothers, seemingly effortlessly. She is no longer here for me to hug and express my love to her, but inside I still love and admire her for getting it right. I often say if I can raise my kids like she raised us, they will turn out just fine. I miss her tremendously....it's been almost 15 years. It's especially hard because we shared a birthday, which was last month.

Btw- I'm in Middletown, MD!

Wow we are practically neighbors! Middletown is such a beautiful place. It must be really spectacular with things beginning to bloom!

It is pretty here. I'm from the city, albeit a beach city in Southern California. I love the rural-ness of it here. I never would have thought it could be so picturesque so close to D.C.
